Friends !
I have turned 58 and working as a VP of an organization aimed at helping the district schools find teachers in the vicinity of NJ. I have maintained a pretty good health even though I had been a chain smoker. Its been quite sometime, that I have triumphed over a problematic liver disease.
I am confident now but still inviting your advice, since I wanna have a personal disability coverage.
Thanks.

Hi
Its always better that you opt for a policy through your employer since it would also cover the residual and partial claims. I find your occupation a suitable one to apply for an individual DI. But the amount that you're expecting per month for your coverage would need you to earn at least 60k a year and make sure that you don't have any group LTD activated at present.
I think at this age you should look for your own occupation policy with residual.
Thanks,
Roddick
