Guys..I've been offered a Vision Insurance from my new employer. Does that mean it would cover any kind of eye surgery and prove to be another alternative for my medicare ?
looking forward to your help !

hi Dana ! Over the years Vision insurance has become an integral part of any employment opportunity. But this doesn't necessitate vision plans to substitute a medical coverage.

It helps you go through several routine eye-care check-ups and if any eye problem is detected it also lets you go through certain encroaching medical procedures.
But I'm certain, that it does not let you get a surgery done out of their expenses.

I had heard that such types of insurance are very costly to maintain. Is it recommendable for all eye-care patients? Pls let me know !

Not at all my friend ! Its actually quite cheap for you to have it. You just need to pay somewhat worth $50 a year with an HMO. Your employer also might offer this benefit to you in a package or he might choose to contribute towards your annual premium for the said insurance.
thanks Simon
