I have uninsured motorists coverage on my vehicles. Does that coverage follow me if I am in someone elses car? I don't have health insurance and was worried if I got injured and say their insurance or the other party's was not enough to cover my medical expenses.

So far my understanding goes, that will not follow you. Instead while you are in someone else's car, the UM/UIM covers that driver, the family members, and the passengers in the car like you. In that case you will be covered by your friends UM/UIM coverage. But make sure whether she has that or not. And the coverage will pay medical bills, funeral expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and even the permanent or partial disability.
BTW whats your state?
