i have been drawing long term disability for about 5years now from employer..My employer went out of bussiness and is another company now..will I get to keep my l.t.d. checks.I worked there 6 yrs. and my ins. expired thru then. How do I keep my long term or can I.

Hi, I guess it'll depend upon the policy of the company. Most likely the policy will lapse along with the company. The new business may not take the responsibility of the employees worked with the previous one. You may need to check out with the company whether they will continue providing you with the benefits or not.

i don't think that it will be difficult for you to collect all that details from your insurer,one thing i will suggest to you is you better contact those official & convey them that you are ready to pay the premium from your own pocket & then if your new employer agrees with the compensation of that premium then everything will be ok. :roll: :P :P
