Pregnancy disability benefits

Hi

I am 29 and my husband is 35. My husband and I are planning a pregnancy in the next 1 year. I am employed but my pregnancy will not allow me to go to work after a few months. My company will grant me 3 months leave with full salary. If I am not able to go to office beyond that period what should I do? I do not want to go without money for long since we'll be having a child and taking care will need a lot of money. I do not have a disability insurance. Is it feasible that I get one now? I mean can I benefit from a disability policy if I purchase one now?

you guys it could be that whatever her job is (not the pregnancy) that she will not be able to work after that amount of time...if that's the case, not sure a disability policy would pay at all.

Hmmm never thought of that scenario...good thinking.
