I'm diabetic but I don't have any other health disorders. I'd still like to know about the kinda disabilities that would make me eligible for SSD.

Did you ever suffer from sleep apnea? There's a list of health problems like Asthma, asbestosis as well as some chronic pulmonary conditions that are obstructive in nature. If you'd ever have any of these problems, you could be eligible for SSD.

You could also meet the criteria if you're suffering from Diabetes, thyroid problems, obesity, high blood pressure etc. Neuropathy and retinopathy are also problems that might see you achieving SSD.

If you're suffering from any chronic liver disorder, hepititis, or say you have the Crohn's disease you might just qualify for it. Certain kidney problems as well as various types of anemia are also considered e.g. anemia concerning the sickle cell kind. You'd just need to call your agent and confirm regarding the same.

You may fit in the criteria if you've been caught up with simpler problems like alcoholism, personality problems, mood swings or any other painful habits that's there in the prescription. Likewise there could be a lot of other causes e.g. depression, schizophrenia or anxiety.
