Sorry Sherry, but I fail to see how we can help you in this situation. Have you applied for unemployment benefits? If not, you may check with the UI department of your state.

Sorry Jeremy , somel of my question is missing. I was laid off in March 2008, I have been getting unemployment benefits, but am not any longer, I have Lupus and my doctor wants me to file for disability, what I need to know is, on the form they ask for my wage for 2008, I only worked till March, but received unemployment the rest of the year, do I include my unemployment as part of my wage. Thank You, Sherry

Okay Sherry, I've an issue here. If you couldn't work for your disabilities why haven't you applied for disability before? See, my intension is not to hurt your feelings but to give you an idea about your situation.

You received unemployment on the condition that you can't find a suitable job when you're fit enough to work. Now, you are trying to collect disability benefits on the ground that you can't work due to disability. These two are contradictory situations and may appear as perjury.

Has your disability developed after you become unemployed?

Yes, I wasn't diagnosis with Lupus till March 2009, I have been going to the doctor since Jan. 2008, I found out I was anemic and started taking iron, I was still working, but still tired all the time, I was laid off in March 2008, started receiving unemployment, was looking for work, and still seeing a doctor. My condition kept getting worse, but I still believe I could find some kind of work. When my doctor told me I had Lupus and should apply for disability, I did not want to, I was still looking for work, I stopped my unemployment because I knew I was not able to work, that's why I decided to apply for disability.

Maybe Medicare disability could help you out if you were able to get in.

Thank you for your respond, back to my original question, do I have to put my unemployment that I received in 2008 on my disability form as wage, or do I list it somewhere else? Thank you, Sherry
