Can I afford to stay without unemployment and workers comp?

GOOD DAY TO U LORI. I HAVE BEEEN RECIEVING BOTH UNEMP. AND WORKERS COMP. BENEFITS FOR ABOUT THE PAST YEAR. THE LATTER EXPIRED ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO,MY ATTORNEY IS NOW ADVISING ME TO REFUSE ANY FURTHER UNEMPL, BENEFITS.MY CASE IS STILL PENDING AND I HAVE NO OTHER SOURCE OF INCOME AND I AM NOT GETTING GOOD LEGAL ADVISE. SHOULD I CLOSE MY UNEMPL,BENEFIT AND HAVE NO OTHER INCOME?

I think your attorney is answerable to his client regarding his decisions. You could always demand an explanation and he'd certainly show you the reason. I'd wait eagerly till you share it with us.

He's probably telling you this because you should'nt have been able to draw both and may be asked to pay the unemployment back! You can draw unemployment because you have to be actively looking for a job while on it..and you can't do that if you are so injuried you're drawing wk. comp.
