Annuity beneficiary

My mother purchased two annuities several years before her death. When she opened them she put her trust as the sole beneficiary and then five days later changed both annuties and named my sister as sole beneficiary. I have learned on the web that annuity benficiaries are very hard to challenge. Are their any circumstances where it can be challenged. My mom was always very adamant about every sibling getting an equal share (which is stated in her will and her trust). But my greedy sister is planning on taking the money from both and not sharing any of it with her four brothers.

Unless you can prove that your sister forced your mother to change the beneficiary designation, or that she changed it without your mother's knowledge, you have virtually no chance of overturning the choice of beneficiary. Any attempt to do so, other than for the two reasons stated, will be a massive waste of time and money -- only the attorneys will get paid.
