Hi guys..
Could anyone tell me how boat insurance rates are associated with someone's past driving record ?
I have searched through all the related costs and now looking for an insurance coverage with a view to buy a new boat for myself. I have a boat in my mind, that has been valued at $85000 approximately and is kept in water at Lake Michigan. I have not seen a single ticket during the last five years. Could anyone tell me how much I should pay for such a boat ?
Hope you would come up with something good for me !

I would better advice you to take one step at a time. You might need to pursue a training on boat safety with the US Power Squadron or USCG Auxiliary. Thereafter you might need to check with your current auto or homeowners insurance companies. All these would contribute towards lowering your premium and reducing your risk with most insurers.
