There is coverage available called Host liquor liability for those who are not in business related to liquor but serves to others in one day functions or in some event. It protects the insured from the legal responsibility for bodily injury and property damage.

Standard CGL policy includes Host Liquor Liability. If the event is a fundraising one, a part of the collected money will go to pay for the liquor. But for safety it is better to buy liquor liability coverage on event basis.
