I have six person in my family and only from my salary my home is running. I am thinking to buy a critical illness insurance policy. Is this a right decision to buy a critical illness policy or any thing else please suggest

You are on the right tract my friend. Your family is dependent on your income. It is just right to get insured. If you are planning to buy a critical illness policy that is a good one... But you can also consider buying a life insurance policy depending on your capacity to earn. I don't know much about critical illness policy because it is not offered in our country. But i believe it can only be used to cover you during critical illness will come. But in case of death on accidents, i don't think that the insured is covered. We should be ready for all uncertainties. You are the breadwinner in your family so a life insurance is a good thing to start... But before doing so, you can first qualify your income capacity so that you can decide on which plan do you prefer to get first.

Hi Rodrick!
You might think of any disability or critical illness policy, only once you have met these basic requirements eg life & health policies. Once you look for a critical insurance policy, you'd often be misguided to buy a disability policy first. But Believe me, now-a-days critical insurance policies are more directed to your wellbeing than the disability policies.
Thanks, ArindamSenIndies.

I concur!!! Basics are very important...and you should get something...especially if you are the one bringing in the income...You should protect yourself and your family. Find a good agent..someone you feel comforable with and someone you think you can trust...they will help you and there are good people out there.
