Hi There,
I have passed my test on Life & Health. Then I picked up John Hancock to go with. They took my certification and applied for my license. It has been nearly a month now. I have not heard anything about it yet. Does it take that long to get your license?
Thank You

Well..my idea of approval of such a license is like this-
* Submit the license application form (through the insurance carrier/download it online)
*Attach docs that establish your passing the pre-licensing course (with a min of 90 hours duration)
*Attach the licensing fee check
Hope you or your employer did not miss out on these issues :)

Now I'd like to know when you exactly joined them. I feel you ought to show your certificates with the Dept. within a span of 2 years prior to the date of submission of the application with the dept.
Keep in touch,

I believe the duration of the pre-licensing course in the case of a life agent is 40 hours. It could be 90 in the case of a Property & Casualty Agent . Rectify me if I go wrong anywhere.
