hmmmmm means you'll get additional 6. Sounds good deal.
why you want to loose the discount of doing multicar insurance many companies offer you discount so try for that.
akhilesh said something about loosing the discount. I don't have in depth knowledge in this matter. But if you are getting additional 6 month's benefit then what is the problem in insuring more than 1 car with the same company?

no! why would you want to go through the hassle of finding two different insurance company? furthermore, like what many of the respondants already mentioned, why would you want to lose the multi-car discount? many insurance companies would offer you a cheaper deal if you register additional cars under the same company. in that case, it would be more worthwhile.
since you already have both cars under the same company, i suggest that you continue to do so.

at the moment, I am continuing with my policy of same insurance company...when my dad will think of buying next car(may be in a year or so), we will think what the alternatives are..But really having same insurance comnapny do have advantages

tusharagg87, I think you misread something...everyone is advising to keep the vehicles on the same policy for a multicar (and others perhaps) discount..
