Hello- I am 35 weeks pregnant now. I have had no real complications to my pregnancy- However I am really stressed out all the time with my job- I am always snapping at people- My mood swings are quite horrible- I am worried about preterm labor- What I am wondering is how do I apply who do I contcct and apply for it? I cant afford to take maternity Leave- its the only way I could possibly spend at least a month with my first baby....

Will your company allow you to telecommute? Do you have any vacation built up - on top of maternity leave?

Does your employer have a benefits coordinator or an HR person you can contact? Could be that you have some paid sick leave? Do you have family that can help you? Mom, dad, siblings, baby daddy?Posted: Wed Oct 29, 2008 02:48 pm Post Subject:
been here for a year a like 4 months- I had to use my 1 week paid vacation over the summer to go back to washington for a week- So no paid vacation to use- They said 3-4 weeks After the baby is born I can work from home- until the end of maternity Leave..

Hmmm....tough time...I'm sorry.
Ask your doctor, under normal circumstances, what he/she thinks your recovery time after your little one's births might be. If it is three weeks, for example, then maybe they can give you the 4th week before the birth.

Why can't you? He owes at least half of the care for this baby, that means paying half of the bills to keep a roof over it's little head...With the Baby due on Dec 1 its also christmas- Time for me to pay for tags and inspection for me car-
Forget about Christmas, bake cookies for everyone if you feel you have to give them something....what about your family honey, any help there? Also contact your local dfs office, see if there isn't some kind of temporary assistance you can get while off...Posted: Wed Oct 29, 2008 03:14 pm Post Subject:
