Are you talking about storage insurance or insurance while it is in use? You can purchase insurance any time of the year.

Hi, tusharagg87 would you kindly explain why you feel like saying:

I believe a person would use it more towards the winter than once the fall starts. Don't people stay out lesser during the falls ? What do you think!
Thanks,

Hi goodnatured!
You can purchase insurance any time of the year.
Absolutely! But it seems over here, the person is just looking forward to save a couple of premium-payments. That is the reason probably he is trying to choose the time for application, so that in case he can get the boat stored at a place, he'd be applying for the insurance just preceding the time he uses it again! But I think its gottabe a bad idea if its an yearly premium that he needs to pay. Don't you all think alike!

When do I buy a boat insurance- is it winter or fall?
A...WHEN YOU BUY THE BOAT!!! I'll assume this is mis-spoken...you need the insurance BEFORE you pull it off the dealers lot or the prior owners yard! Just like a car...If you want to talk about 'garage' or 'sleeping' time in your policy you start that when you have winterized your boat and put it away for the season, and kick it out of this status RIGHT BEFORE you take the tarp off......
