SSDI or social security disability insurance is all about a cash benefit from the federal funds offered to the disabled citizens.

Hi,
In order to apply for the following you'd need to produce the following- Age-proof, SSN, address, contact information of the healthcare unit under which you have been treated, your past work track etc. It is also advisable that you keep a W-2 & Federal Tax Return.

Yes, such benefits are payable to disabled children below 18 if the parent is dependent on social security. Children whose parents have passed away are also entitled to receive such benefits.

But we must note that such benefits would automatically be stopped once the child attains adulthood (18) but it may continue to get paid if he still remains disabled. See if anyone of you could add to it!
