I would like to get feedback from some of you more matured and longer status agents and agencies on this blog.
What could I be facing by starting out as a independent agent working from home, say in Atlanta? If Georgia isn't your home base, don't hesitate to comment. Thanks.

Do you have a centers of influence in Atlanta?
Unless you are getting warm leads, or have a some type of referral base, its difficult, not impossible.
There are lots of different ways to prospect, the easiest are warm leads from existing clients, centers of influence. Some agents are also very good at getting warm leads from prospect meetings. Cold calling is the least productive.

Hi, my name is Mia and I'm an independent agent at Liveops. We are currently in need of insurance agents who would like the opportunity to work at home. Rates are very good, you can even make $30/hour.
From personal experience, It's very convenient for me to be able to work at home. I am a full time student at The University of Texas at San Antonio and work part-time with Liveops. I get to stay home with my friends & family compared to when I was working as an overnight nanny for 13 hours 4-5x a week. And who doesn't like making money and not have to wake up to drive somewhere? It's phenomenal. For more information, please email me at perezmia91@yahoo.com
Thank you!
Mia
