I read on another insurance forum some scary things about the producers alliance. They are currently being investigated by the DOI. Can anyone give any info on this group of clowns.

It would have been a lot better if you would have shared with us some of the criticisms over here. I'm sure a lot of our community friends would be helped this way!
Also, would request you to share what these investigations may reveal in case you'd come across such info.

You can read some of the old discussions to know more about The Producers Alliance, seems that they have their share of both praise and criticism side by side.

I worked for this guy in the past. They have all kinds of gimmicks to trick your customer into signing on the dottedd line so you can grab your commision and run. One of their favorites is ripping a $100 bill in half and giving one half to the customer if they are not going to sign and want to sleep on it first. Another one is a $10,000.00 reward if you can find a better policy as long as it meets 78 exclusions that golstein requires or he will not payout.

I readily admit I don't know anything about The Producer's Alliance.
Before I posted this message I went to their web site. They are obviously suckering brand new agents who have no clue about the actual work that's involved in the marketing and sales of insurance.
The two graphics below from their website are laughable and feed right into inaccurate inferences and misconceptions a neophyte agent may have of the insurance business.
Selling insurance is simple, but it's not easy.
What client would do business with an agent or agency that gratuitously promotes on their web site all the money their agents are purportedly easily making?
No reputable agency would have such graphics on display.
