I was thinking of availing group health coverage for quite some time. I can't have it now that I'm not continuing under my previous employer anymore. I've heard that I could still achieve lower rates through any membership organization. Is that really possible?

Yes, membership organizations are here to offer benefits and resources to people who're working towards a specific area. Once you become a member you'd be entitled to receive the benefit of their group health insurance coverage.

Hi, if you're looking for individual health insurance then it will be beneficial if you'd seek insurance from a membership organization.
Once you're with all the other members, your premiums are likely to come down. For some organizations, you don't even need to go for the medical exam and your pre-existing health conditions may also get approved.

If you're already a member of an association or alumni it would be easier for you to achieve such insurance. Alternatively, you may search over the internet with terms such as "health insurance membership benefits". I'm sure you'll come across a number of options.
