From what I have seen there are quite a few negative comments about SHC but it seems a lot of them are ones from folks who are not used to hard work. I don't mind hard work and long days as long as there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am attending my webinar about the company tomorrow and am very excited. Any other suggestions before I start down the path with SHC? Did you honestly have days like I have seen some of the comments say about not getting in bed till 11:30pm and then on the road at 7am? I do have younger kids that I see every other weekend and every wednesday night. Do you think I will be able to see them the first year? This is very important to me so be honest. Thanks

Run as fast as you can, You will spend 1,000 to 1500 by the time you fly to Dallas and stay in a hotel, pay for your training. Then you will get the pleasure of working for about 6 weeks for basically nothing, maybe you will make enough to reimburse your gas money. Then you finally get where you are starting to have checks come in for a couple hundred a week. Then all of a sudden they decide that they think you are quitting so they don't send your check, because it is a loan, you haven't earned it yet. run fast!!!!!!!

I just got off the web seminar with Fritz. Thought it sounded pretty good until I got his e-mails with the REAL story minimum $599. for their training materials, cost of flying to Dallas, lodging and food. Then theres a charge of $18. per appt set, and if you don't meet their quota theres no leads at all. I DON'T THINK SO!!!

I am real concerned with SHC. I have searched for information on them and RJR, only to find a Rating with BBB. The only other information is only appointment in the corporation. Nothing in any insurance rating sites.
I have the Fritz e-mail with the information to move forward to the 2nd interview, but not one thing mentioned how SHC treat their staff and agents. It's all about making the SALE.
The information to this point tells me that SHC are only in it for the NUMBERS's. Get as many people selling with alot of turn over which only make more residuals for the management.
Final note: My opinion would be very cautious before putting your time in for this company, unless they become more tranparent with company information. If this company is as great as it is claiming, then why is there not any facts to find other that what they are saying.
This is not the first company I have seen run this way!

I am a senior manager with Senior Healthcare Consultants working out of the Dallas Corporate office. This website was recently brought to my attention. First off, I want to thank all who have commented here and I appreciate both the positive and negative comments posted.
This blog appears to be a fairly popular forum for discussion involving insurance for both consumers and the business entities that service this industry. As an insurance marketing company SHC would like to be a part of those discussions with you. I set up this account in order to allow members of our Senior Management Staff to respond under the same heading. The idea behind that is so that anyone reading this blog can be sure where the information is coming from.
We as an organization want to get better at what we do and how we explain things, your thoughts and comments will go a long way in allowing us to do that. I have set up an email address, for those of you who prefer to remain anonymous and wish to contact us directly rather than post your name on a blog. The goal with this is to take the necessary measures to ensure clearer understanding of our business. We will gladly, openly discuss any issues or questions you may have via this blog, but if you prefer direct email, you can contact us at shc_answers@shcmarketing.com.
I intend to get the answer to questions posted on this site or sent via email as quickly as possible, but please give me at least 72 hours to direct your questions or comments to the appropriate manager and respond.
I appreciate the opportunity to connect with you on this forum where we can join in a level of professionalism and bring clarity as well as address any misunderstandings and/or issues regarding SHC in an open and clear manner.
Thank you

I was very excited to get directed to this site and appreciative of all who have taken time to comment, both good and bad!
My goal is to clear up as many misunderstandings and misconceptions surrounding SHC as possible and along with our managers around the country we will do all we can to do so.
We all appreciate this forum and the ability it provides for clear and candid communication.

dont hold your breathe until you are reimbursed.
count on additional expenses and many broken promises.
They have a great plan... challenge honest people to work hard or be blamed for the lack of success. Make the system become eventually intollerable so that honest hard workers quit and leave behind a bank full of trail commissions for SHC management.
Dont drink the koolaid...please!!!

From the tenor of most of the comments on this blog it sounds like SHC churns and burns through its agents and to heck with the little old ladies who buy the policies. I was looking at their job ad and will definitely not apply with them. As a very experienced salesperson who has just moved to a new town I see a lot of red flags raised about this organization by the comments. THANKS to those of you who have raised some good questions!

PLEASE BE ADVISED
SHC's business practices are currently being investigated.
At this point, I've spoken with more than a dozen current and former agents and have acquired a great deal of information from them. I am in the process of gathering training videos and manuals, recordings, advertisements, letters, literature, commission scales, company sales procedures, policyholder information, etc.
I would like to speak with anyone having experience with this company (good or bad).
I have created a thread dedicated solely to SHC in the Insurance Fraud section of this website. I would prefer that any and all information and/or experiences be discussed there.
