if you have an insurance claim will the lienholder receive the check? part of it is home damage and the other is adjacent structures and personal belongings?

Typically the entire check will have the mortgage companies name on it. But I don't know of any reason why one check could not be issued just to the homeowner for the person items and everything else would go on another check with the mortgage companies name on it. It's just that typically the insurance company issues just one payment. It really would be up to the insurance company.

I always split these up the leinholder has no business getting ANY of your personal property loss money...ask your adjuster how they intent to make out the drafts, if it were me and they were going to put a l/h name on my personal property loss there would be a BIG ISSUE...no reason they HAVE to do that!
