Is arbitration a successful approach to fighting a rejected

I have Country Insurance for Home Insurance. Our subdivision recently was hit with hail storms and just about every house is getting either their roof and/or siding replaced. In fact, one block away from me is another house with Country Insurance who successfully had their claim paid for a new roof. Yet, I was rejected.

I am considering hiring an independent roof consultant (who does not repair roofs) to assess my roof and then proceed with arbitration. Note, my insurance company has done three assessments of our roof and siding and all three reports state no significant hail damage. Two of these assessments were done by independent roof consultants hired by Country Insurance and the last assessment was done by our insurance adjuster.

What are my chances with arbitration?
Thanks.

Arb can go either way. On the insurance companies side, they have 2 independent reports stating no damage to the roof as well as the adjusters report. On your side you might ('cause it's not been done yet) have one report stating the roof does have damage.

Your successes is also based on the expertise of your roof consultant and what he/she is willing to state. Without knowing that, there is no way to know what your chances might be.

As they are now, I'd say your chances are slim.

Yup, I agree with tcope even arbitration may not yield the desired result for you. Arbitration is very similar to court proceeding and may cost huge in terms of court expenses and attorney fees.

Are you sure that you have similar damages as your neighbor, who has got his/her claim settled?

Why would you do that? Just have a couple of roofing contractors come out and take a look to see if there is any damage, it is possible for your next door neighbor to have damage and for you to have none...are you sure you even have hail damage?
