Home hail damage claim

Hi! I've a question for you all :)

We recently have a hail storm in our area which has caused huge damages to many of the houses in the locality including mine. We have both damaged siding and roof. Though the claim with the roof went well, the problem occurs with the siding. The insurance company is replacing it with a color that is not matching with the remaining part of the home. We have complained it to the adjuster but he isn't ready to budge since the insurance company is only responsible to replace it with a same quality material. What can we do in this situation? Can we ask the insurance company to replace the entire siding to match it with the rest?

The insurance company is supposed to bring the dwelling back to the way it was prior the the home being damaged. Don't allow these ajusters to push you around. Bitch and moan to a supervisor. The squeeky wheel...

The squeeky wheel...

I have to admit that in many many cases this is correct

Does the "line of sight rule" apply in the state of Wisconsin? We have had the siding replaced on one side of our home but the color doesn't quite match the other walls. This is not acceptable. I know that in some states, if the colors can't be matched, the line of sight rule applies and the insurance company will redo the total house.

hail, wind did alot of damages to the house screens have holes in them the roof has been hit 11 times in a 12 inch square, my siding has holes in bigger than a golf ball. the front of my house and the two garages roof and siding. they don,t make the same siding color that we have now, so what is a person to do if they don,t do the hole house and garages. there should be some law that says they have to replace it.mad

Hey mad again I live in Michigan we had the big storm last week I wonder if that is the same rule for us. it was a straight line storm 75 mile and hour wind and hail bigger than a golf ball.

The line of sight seems to be an interesting thing. So if I stay in my company’s good books and keep the admin section happy, I have the advantage of getting a better deal incase of a claim? Just asking!

We recently had an insurance adjustor tell us the state of PA is "no match state" when replacing siding? I am finding it hard to find this law? our contractor, who has been in this area for ten+ years said to her ,he has never heard this. where can I find out this "law"? and she also claims hail does not break glass, (our house was hit with golf ball size hail). Is this correct also?

What states have a law about full wrap on house, even if only two sides damaged.

Iowa has the following in their code: 191-15.44(1)(b). Google that for more information. (line of sight)
