Is it possible to obtain home owners insurance without any credit check?
I don't usually consult online agents or sites, I was once an ID theft victim.
Can I get a quote anywhere without disclosing my SSN, DOB or latest
insurance carrier?

You will be better served using a local agent to do this for you. Not only will you save time, protect your personal information, and probably save money, you'll end up with the correct coverage for your needs which is most important.
An insurance company's ability to underwrite based on a credit report is governed under state law. Some states permit it, others do not. Your signature on an application for insurance usually gives consent to view your credit report, even if it cannot be used as an underwriting factor.

Many small mutual companies still do not use credit score. Find a local agent and ask if they have companies who can quote without credit score

So you mean, it was mentioned somewhere in my policy papers? Can it really harm me?

Yes, it would have been in the application, if they were going to/wanted to be able to do it. The disclosure is required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and perhaps other state laws.

Only if it leads to a decline or prevents you from obtaining coverage at the lowest possible rate for the policy you obtain.
Finding a local agent should not be a challenge. Ask your friends and coworkers for recommendations. Call a few and talk to them. If you don't feel comfortable with one, find another. It won't take too much effort on your part -- it will just take some of your otherwise valuable time.
