When you get quote for homeowners insurance does it include the cost of homeowner’s liability coverage or you need to avail the benefit separately?

Does homeowner’s liability also protect you against slander and libel?

yes, in all HO policys I've ever seen this is included...

or you need to avail the benefit separately?

you can always purchase a separate policy, but all HO policys I've seen have a min. of 100k on liability.

Does homeowner’s liability also protect you against slander and libel?

It depends on the policy and the policy wording. If covered, it would provide protection if you were sued for libel or slander, with a ton of exceptions.

Do you have a specific example or question about libel/slander defense?
