Xmas spending

Whats the average per kid you spent this Xmas? My hubby thinks we should spend the same amount on each child. Thing is I have one who wants mega buck items(horses and gear) One who doesn't ask for much and the older one who asks for nothing but expects something. The game is to come out debt free.

My kids are all grown and gone but now I have double the amount to buy for in grandkids, I usually shop through out the year and try to find the bargains where I can. Usually try to spend about twenty dollars on each one, now my one daughter started taking in foster kids, so there is more to buy for, I am not complaining they are all sweet kids, she has two of them right now. They were at her house for christmas, so I gave her money to buy them something because I don't know them that well. It is hard with them because they have not been there long and I don't see them very often.

So I try to save on things through out the year, this has always worked for me.

One idea but be to shop after Xmas sales. My mother-law only buys for the grandkids anymore. She gets her children zip! Thats OK though it doesn't bother me anyway. If it were not for my kids I would treat that day as any other anyway. That is a good idea though August to shop all year that way it spreads out the spending.

i always say i set a limit but by christmas im over spent every time. best solution i can think of is a christmas club and at the end of the year devide it into how many you are buying for and make it stick. dont wimp out like me but i love christmas and it only comes once a year so loosen up, i guess.
