I have officially crossed over the 1,000 post threshold.
I should get a prize or something I think.

For your 1000th post, you get to watch Bill Walton.... I mean Sam Bowie.... I mean Greg Oden not play for another couple years.

Dasfuk... I mean, really...
For your 1000th post, you get to watch Bill Walton.... I mean Sam Bowie.... I mean Greg Oden not play for another couple years.
That is really, really cold. I love the Blazers, and year after year I find myself saying "I can't take this anymore." I'm watching the Blazers vs. whoever at Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends last fall. They're playing great, and my friend (a Laker fan...grrrrrr) says, "Look at the TV." So I did. What do I see? Oden on the floor grabbing his leg and grimacing in pain. After all that rehab, just to bust himself up again. Freak injury. Then there's Joel Przybilla, our great #2 center, who screws up his patella, is almost healed and a month out. He slips in the shower and totally re-injures the patella. Sigh......
Wonderful. Great. Yet another Blazer center goes down in the grand tradition of Walton and Bowie. Yeah year...now you can add, to the "Sam Bowie instead of Jordan," the "Oden instead of Kevin Durant" thing. I have a few words about that one, but they aren't fit for this forum. OK. They picked Bowie because they had Clyde Drexler and needed a big man. So much for that. They picked Oden because they already had Aldridge at the scoring forward side and didn't really need Durant. Remnant and truly bad leftover decision stream from the Drexler era. Should have learned. Again, a wonderful decision (snort). They picked Walton because they needed a big man, period. His good year and a half did wonders for the Blazers. They are one of those "Suh-wing and a miss" teams, like the Cubs.
I'm also a huge Cubs fan. Wow...when will I learn?
Ya think there's a non-admitted carrier out there that will manuscript some sort of insurance contract that protects the Blazers against being their own worst enemy? You know, kind of like D&O coverage that protects against misdeeds of the owners of the business, with a little E&O thrown in? The claimants would be the ticket/cable/internet buyers? Some kind of performance contract? Hmmmmm.
Whaddya think? I bet that you, Spicuzza and Max could invent some type of policy language that would work. :D hahahaha
