I am looking to work in ma as an independent property adjuster. MA issues licenses for ONLY public adjusters. How do i become an independent property insurance adjuster in MA?

Easiest/best way is to work for an established independent adjusting company. Other then that, you will need to sell your services to insurance companies.

Even though no license is required I'm sure that the applicant has to meet certain qualifying criteria in order to operate as an adjuster, checking with the department of insurance might help you in finding out about those requirements.
Moreover, since there is no licensing requirement your work experience would count, which would only come with the time. Hence, you might need to find an employment as an assistant adjuster.

They don't issue you one of those for the Bearcats. Most assistant adjusters work for free for CAT adjusters to get their feet wet. I don't know if you call it a job if you work for free, but at least your not sitting at home watching tv.
