Agents/Brokers,
For those that are buying leads from an online leads company, beware of NetQuote.com
I get this lead a few days ago. Naturally, I called the client immediately but got her voicemail. Called again the next day, voicemail. The next day, voicemail. Finally, I e-mailed the client to tell her I could not reach her by phone.
She responds with the following:
"thank you for your time but to be honest i do not need life insurance i just filled out the questioner to get free city bucks in the game i play on facebook. so thank you but no"
HELLOOOOO!!!! Unethical marketing practice exposed!!!
NetQuote and/or its marketing partners evidently offers rebate incentives for filling out online applications for coverage quotes. Now while you WILL likely get a credit for this lead if you call their customer service department (as I did), think about all the agents and brokers that haven't caught any of these. That is HUGE extra money NetQuote is getting from rebating.
Has NetQuote leads led to closed business for me? Absolutely. However, there's no excuse for this. I've shut off my account with them.
