My husband works for A major carrier as an agent and our bankruptcy was finalized in April. The company seized our August renewal commisions until "outside counsel and the trustee completes their review". Do they have a right to do this? We filed Chapter 7

He needs to dig out his agent contract and keep it handy. Insurance companies can do all sort of weird things.

Sharing some of them over here might just save a lot of hassles for someone. Isn't it?

Well, haven't heard of such a thing yet, but as BNTRS pointed out everything is possible. Trustee's review I get, but I'm not sure of this 'outside counsel'.
