Expanding your book of business?????

What are some successfull things you have done that helped you get more clients? Other than the obvious of cold calls and mailers.

Internet leads, referrals, join Chamber of commerce, join local networking groups. So many things... Facebook tell you friends what your doing and ask if they want your help...

Hi, I'm more interested to know about the various ways of generating online leads. I've heard about a couple of lead-generating softwares, but I'm not exactly aware of their usage. I'd also like to know a bit about the process of joining the chamber of commerce.

To join a chamber of commerce . . . you find their office, fill out a membership application, pay a fee, and they give you a plaque to hang on the wall that states, "Member of the Chamber of Commerce".

You may generate better leads by simply talking to people face to face, meeting with them to discuss their insurance needs, and getting referrals from them to others who may need your products/services.

Lead generation platforms often provide you with a lead that has also been sold to 3-5 other agents. If you're not the first to contact the person, get in line, and hope that something about you stands out.
