I've just finished my grad studies from Ohio State University and now thinking of becoming an insurance professional with a specialization in Car insurance (I've heard they earn more). Do I need to attain any specific course? Please help.

Not necessarily true. Agents who are licensed in life and disability insurance can easily earn 6-figure incomes on the sale of a few dozen life insurance policies and annuities alone. A "car insurance salesman" would have to sell several hundred policies to reap the same kind of income in one year.Regardless, depending on your state of residence, you may have to take a prelicensing course before you can take the exam for your license. That can range from 20 to 52 hours.

There are dozens of providers available, both classroom (recommended) and self-study/online. Just "google" Ohio insurance license prelicensing courses
