I was convicted of a felony in CT because of DUI's. From 2008 until 2011 I was arrested and convicted of 3 DUI's which constitutes a felony. The last conviction was in 2011. I have been sober for two years, am able to appeal to reinstate my driver's license this October through the DMV (January 2013 the CT DMV reduced the 6 yrs loss of driver's license to 2 yrs), and am also able to terminate my probation (which is suppose to exist until 2015) as my P.O. agreed to terminate me as soon as I complete my community service. Can I obtain a license in the state of CT as an insurance agent (Prudential Insurance) with a felony, as it is a motor vehicle incident and not drugs, larceny, etc.

In most states, any felony conviction within 5 years of submission of an application will result in rejection. And when an application has been rejected, it means that you won’t be able to file another within the next 5 years.
Talk to your state's Department of Insurance before you submit your application.
Whether a straight-up conviction, probation or deferred adjudication, you'll be required to disclose the offense in your application, and the Department will run a criminal history on you.
