McKinsey Vs ComScore Report (The Future of Ins. Industry)

As you may know, in late 2013 there was a fair amount of industry commentary about a McKinsey publication that spoke to the challenges of “agency” Property & Casualty distribution. In my 12 years in our business I have seen numerous documents penning the demise of the independent agency system. Now it seems the scope of such authors is broader to include all agency systems... However, a careful analysis does not portend a demise for those agencies embracing change. In fact quite the contrary. The forecast is that those agencies who do adapt, invest, improve, and innovate, will not only survive but they will thrive, and be exponentially more successful and enriched than today.

Both the ComScore Report and the McKinsey Report detail the opportunities that lie ahead for those agencies willing to change. Carriers are embracing Aggregators as that change in the market place. Picking the right one is the trick.
