I presently live in Ohio. As a young adult in Florida I made poor decisions in addiction and have 3rd degree felonies related to possession of controlled substance over ten years old at the time of conviction. 20 years ago I have 1 felony conviction for uttering forged instrument that was for a check worth $150, also a result of addiction ( no excuse, just grateful I’m no longer that person). I served 1.5 years probation successfully. I am aware from your posts it varies by state as to what I am allowed to do. Am I able to be licensed as a life and health insurance agent in Ohio? I appreciate your advice tremendously as I’m being sought for a job interview tomorrow that I’d love to take, however I’d prefer not to waste the company’s time and resources if I’m unable to be credentialed down the road. Thank you!
