you buy leads? ive run my own agency for over 5 years... never have cold called...you want to make it in this industry...email me...#1 in the insurance/securities business.....

Based on last month's analysis of our agency's sales roughly half our our new clients visited our website for the first over a month before they purchased.
Many of them visited our site for the first time over a year ago. Keep in touch with your clients by email, phone and snail mail. Not everyone buys right away.

I've been reading Alston's posts for a long time. He's right about the time frame. Insurance is a get rich slow business. You need to build up several hundred contacts that know who you are and market them consistently (could be friends, could be cold calls that aren't ready to buy, could be internet leads you speak with).
I do cold calling and get leads (a few) from my own website.
I'm going to start buying leads in another week for the first time since getting into insurance. I'm buying them from a lead company that calls affiliate leads, gets them on the phone, asks if they are interested in talking to an agent and then transfers them. You can listen to every call online and challenge it if needed. I'm thinking it's worth the fact that they are twice the price. We'll see.
