Can anybody brief me about what are different careers one can choose in the field of insurance? What educational requirements are there and what are growth prospects?
This is an article that I wrote awhile back, and hopefully this will start you in the right direction.
There are infinitely many different positions available in the insurance field, with some involving sales and others not. The educational requirements vary depending on what job you are interested in, and your growth prospects really depend on the specific area of insurance as well.
Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Design, insurance as an industry is vast in size with ample career opportunities, like- agents, adjuster, underwriters, investigators and the like.
What educational requirements are there and what are growth prospects?
The growth prospect would depend upon what you can make of yourself. And, like any other field, insurance industry too value dedication and hardwork.

This is an excellent point. Many people say that sales is just not for them, and they're probably right. As with any job, and really any area of insurance, hard work and motivation are key. Individuals looking for a low stress and easy job should expect to be paid as such, and will probably make minimum wage and flip burgers. It is ultimately up to a person whether or not they choose to succeed!

Another point on the educational requirements...
There are actually several schools (colleges) that offer a major in insurance and different aspects of it. If you are seeking certain types of work within the industry, you may want to do a search on some insurance degrees.
