Growing your agency in tough economic times

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on ways to grow the agency during these tough economic times.

We'd probably need more information on the nature of insurance you're trading in. You may also provide us with information on the location of your operation, the employee strength etc.

Agency is located in Michigan - We specialize in Commercial lines, but we also excel at Personal, Motorcycle, Boat ATV etc. We do business insurance as well. Just looking for some ideas that other people have successfully implemented to get the attention of potential new business.

advertorials have been hot for us...hottest "direct response" print ads I've had in 24 years...of course that's going away from the conservative insurance agent mentality

Maybe my slogan will be "this ain't your daddy's insurance":)
