The answer to this question is yes. I have noticed people have been having some problems with these so called internet leads. I just want to let all of the forum members know that I found a great source of leads and they are much cheaper than anything else I have seen. The service is call live transfers and the company that provides the leads is called Transfer Guru. They only charge you $15 per live person they send to your office or whatever phone you wish to give them. The nice thing is that these are people that have listened to a pre-recording message and are interested in getting better insurance rates. Give them a try, we have had some great success with their services.

That has to be right there in the same boat as a do-it-yourself colonoscopy kit

I don't understand how a company can be operating with pre-recorded messages. DNC regulations do not mince words on the issue. It is illegal to call residential numbers with a pre-recorded message unless you are a political campaign.

Let me explain first hand how this transfer guru stuff works. I just paid for 200 transfers at 3.95 per transfer.
here is how it worked for me. now I know that not every single call is going to be a hot transfer, I would expect to have a handful of people transfer over and tell me to kick rocks. here is my experience. $790 up front pre paid for 200 live transfers. the concept is great. people listen to a 30 sec. msg and decide if they want your service. if they press one you have a hot lead someone who is interested. not always the case, I had people transfered that didnt say anything, people just laughed, people acted like they wanted it just to mess with you, people told you off. all of these things are expected to happen and I understand that. but out of about 20 transfers not one converted into an apt. not one even seemed remotley interested. not to say it wont work in your territorry. I actually am frustrated that it isnt working. but if I keep my head in the game just a few sales and I have a pretty good roi. just not what I was hopping for. hope this helps. I want to make sure no one thinks I am bagging on this company. I think it is a great concept. I just hope things turnm around

Transfers sound good but I think they are being overdone by all the various agents and co's. all the feedback I've seen is they deliver mediocre results. Some parts of the country seem to do better than others.
I'm in Md and a GA I asked about it told me not to even bother...Md results were terrible.

hey guys do you think that this auto dialer does have anything to help you generate a sale?

People make fun of this concept. OK! they will listen it for a while but surely it is not worth to put our money to these types of innovative (????) ideas.

Mouth to mouth publicity and referral system rocks ss....sss...

I used them a little bit and the results were funny if anything else. It seemed the only people that answered their recorded message were people who did not hit 2 to opt out and then were angry to be talking to me, lonely old people who just wanted to chat, and drunks. They were the best.

I had a lot better luck using a predictive dialer which calls three lines at a time and instead of being pre recorded messages you talk directly to the prospective customer when they pick up the phone, it also bypasses most answering machines and disconnected numbers. A lot easier than hand dialing.
