Hi Plasmahectic,

There are a lot of insurance websites that offers affiliate programs. All you need to do is to apply for the program and after they have approved your application, you are ready to go. All the marketing tools that you need may be provided for you. The affiliate system is simple. You generate leads to their website and after the user filled up the form or asked for an insurance quote, you will get paid for that lead. All you need to do is to have a good website and a good web promotional strategy.

Hi,
I've had success with attracting leads to me via direct mail campaigns and 'break from the clutter' copywriting.

One tool that is particularly effective is a 'tear sheet'. This type of marketing gets read and not overlooked like all the other stuff.

It is also worth noting that I don't market based on price, but on value and positioning. The value does not go along the lines of the incestuous 'we have great service', but more along the lines of the unexpected perks. The positioning is done so you are recognized as an expert in the field and even a 'quasi celebrity' because of being recognized as an author.

The combination is quite effective

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have questions.

One more thing... Congrats on the wisdom to ask around about what is working for others because this is the smart shortcut to success.

Internet marketing is the best way to get your name out there. If you can come up near the top of the list in search engines than prospects will be able to seek you out. Try doing a Google search right now. Not many established agencies even come up in a search. You'll gain an edge by making yourself as visible as possible on the Internet.

At the risk of sounding stupid what is a "tear Sheet"?

Nothing is stupid in the modern fast-paced marketing world.
Hi..let me get you a hint what these 'tear sheets' are all about. They are nothing but advertorials which offers a smooth presentation of your product or service to your customer. Sometimes its more like your daily newspaper but with a difference.

Over here your prospects would have the option to sail through the information & the visuals at the same time, thus never really realizing how with an emotional touch you would get past their objections never really giving them a chance to ask or question your views.

Every modern day marketing tool would involve the usage of tear sheets as a must. Hope your customers would like tear sheets more than the regular pamphlets.
Hope it works with you too!

I have a couple of websites that I promote with SEO and PPC. It works well for us, but it took a couple of years to make it really profitable.

By the way I've created a Universal BMI calculator with a unique feature.

If you link to my BMI calculator from your website (or blog) your visitors will see a link back to your URL on the results page.

I've took my logo off the calculator. There is just a text-based link to my Connecticut medical insurance web site near the bottom end of the page.

Here is the link:

Also using "tear sheet" advertising with very good ROI, only display ads I've gotten great ROI on were advertorial type ads chocked full of benefits. FYI nobody gives a hoot about you and how long your company has been "serving others" Since we've stressed benefits our marketing targets have responded in a very profitable way. Radiused mailings are also working well right now as is our referral rewards program.

Best of luck in your marketing, here's hoping 2010 is your record breaking year.
