You cannot take the test online (would be a little difficult to verify it was you taking the test and also that you were not simply looking up the answers).

I am not interested in taking the test online I just want to know if the online class is generally accepted...I have work during the 4 day class so online is my only alternative but I don't want to waste my money. Thanks!

That I do not know. When I took classes, I did so at the local community college. They were at night. Started around 6pm and ended around 10pm.

You can call the Dept of Financial Services and ask if the class you mentioned will allow you to sit for the test.

There are several virtual classrooms available online to provide the requisite training in obtaining the insurance adjuster's license. The same is also available in the state of Florida. However, I'm not very certain about the success rate of these courses, but seem that they satisfy the requirement of the licensing exams.

You can check out with the following site for more information….

The Florida licensing department requires all the applicants to take 40 hrs of pre licensing course to qualify in the licensing exam. And a properly designed online licensing course can help you in preparing for the exam through the course materials and mock tests.

An online course is required to cover all the topics necessary for the licensing purpose. The P&C licensing course should cover the followings,

Introduction to the basic of insurance: the knowledge of the terms and jargons typical of the insurance industry is necessary for the adjuster to know before entering into the profession.

Introduction to claims:

  • Handling the claims
  • The different aspects of a claim process.
  • The factors that may influence the claim.
  • Determining the worth of the damages.
  • Checking for frauds.

Insurance laws and ethics: the insurance adjuster is also required to know the prevalent insurance laws.

Thanks for your help everybody.
I have what I need now but I am still a lil confused.
Whats the diff between a 3-20, 5-20 and a 6-20 license for adjusters?
How do I know which one I need?
Thanks!

Don't remember what a 320 licenses is. A 620 and 520 are both all lines adjusting licenses. A 520 is if your an independent (not working directly for an insurance company) and a 620 is if your working directly for an insurance company. The 620 and 520 can be changed at any time for a small fee.

The 320 license is a licensing requirement for the public adjusters. The individual, who have aimed at becoming the public adjuster, is required to obtain the 320 license.

I know this seems redundant but I need clarification on what a public adjuster is/does.
If I plan to work as an independent property claims adjuster-for insurance companies but self employed than it sounds like I just need a 620?
Thanks again for all your assistance!

Public Adjusters represent the claimant party. They actually play the role of the mediator between the claimant and the insurance company trying to maximize the claimant's gain form the claim.
