Hi,
I am new to the insurance business, but not new to sales. I have owned/operated my own business for about 12 years. I am interviewing with Northwestern Mutual on Monday. I am wondering if anyone knows what kind of a company this is to work for, or how they are viewed by agents?
Thanks for your advice!

Hi there...do you believe any brand-name would easily achieve worth $1 trillion in terms of individual policies!!
I'd rather believe that they are surely one of the life insurance biggies of our times.. Roddick

Yupp...they would fall within the biggest names at real estate investment across the US. Their investments would cover securities, equities & commercial mortgages. The company houses professionals who are knowledgeable, flexible decision-makers & highly innovative. Their professionals would operate from 8 regional offices & possess a good knowledge about local market, investors as well as the borrowers. Hope that you now have a fair idea about their business prospect! Fatman

Hi, what I've mostly seen is, Northwesterm mutual have professionals working in the following sectors:
* property taxes
* architecture
* legal processes
* environmental
* engineering.
Capitals funds are independent & hence encourage innovative solutions. The process of mortgage lending is only associated with loans ranging between $10-$100 million upon secured income property. ArindamSenIndies

Hi there..
Northwestern mutual would always invest at real estate equities through the following processes-

  • Joint ventures
  • Fee revisions
  • Pre-purchases
  • Acquisitions

They would also indirectly resort to the following options at times-
  • Pvt. opportunity Funding
  • Public real estate securities

So, there is no doubt that they are quite versatile with their business processes.

Northwestern Mutual has been in business for sufficient span of time to earn reputation amongst the business community. It is one of the most trusted names in the industry of life insurance.

I think it's a lovely opportunity and anyone shouldn't let it forego.
