Hi! In order to obtain a license as a resident agent you just need to sit for the Pre-licensing education. Any approved provider would assist you towards achieving this certification. You would also need to fill up the Uniform resident agent application, which will be followed with Criminal Background Check. Thats it! Fatman

My friend...you would need to go through the pre-licensing education under the guidance of an approved agency for all the branches of authority as Life / Variable Products -- Accident & Health, Property & Casualty, Personal Lines, Surety Bail Bond. You may choose to cover this entire course by studying under a 20 hours duration classroom coaching or may cover it back home under a self-study program. In case, you already have a bachelors' degree in insurance or if you are an associate then you may request for an exemption. But you may still be required to clear the Surety Bail Bond test. Thats what I've in my mind right now...if I could gather any more vital information, I would surely share that with you.

Hi there! Yes its quite true that it might seem pretty much of a hassle at the beginning but believe me, once you come to the end of the course and pass the tests to get your course completion certificates you'd feel much better.
But please don't forget that your certificate would just be valid for a period of about 6 months and it is during this period that you have to complete the corrs exams as well. If you don't complete all this corrs exams within the validity of these course certificates (associated with individual line of authority) then you may need to go for it all over again. You need to produce each original certificate for each exam unless you're opting for a joint exam where in you'd need to produce two course completion certificates. Hope thats pretty much clear now!
