Hey all! I'm a newbie. Been in the insurance business for 3 yrs. Got promoted into district manager already. I think it would suit my easy going personality to own an agency or investment outlet instead. I'd rather deal with new sales and customers than being other agents boss. I have a friend telling me that owning an allstate agency is the way to go and another telling me that selling investments at edward jones is great. Can I get some sound advice from some folks that have been in these business for awhile? I'm young and single and don't mind starting from scratch if it is a wise move.

Starting agency with Allstate is definitely a great idea. I personally don't know about the other company that you have mentioned.
I'm sure that all agents at some phase of their career would like to become independent and since you have already tasted success in three years of your career as insurance agent, you should definitely give it a try. Best of luck!!
