by TopPickLeads » Mon Jan 05, 2009 10:15 pm

TopPickLEads.com is a FREE informational website thaat was developed by a group of insurance agents to help other insurance agents find the best quality insurance leads online. We have done this by purchasing a test batch of $500 worth of various insurance leads from 20 different online insurance lead providers. Through our findings, extensive research, testing and reviews we have compiled a list of what we believe are the “TOP PICK” online insurance lead providers. We have tested each of these “Top Pick” providers firsthand and have found them all to have provided us with the best quality leads for the most competitive price. All lead providers were reviewed on the following: Lead Accuracy and Freshness, Lead Filtering Ability, Price, Real-Time Deliverability Options, Company history, Company Customer Service and most importantly ROI (Return on Investment).

Listen, a test batch of $500 is not enough to determine anything. lead quality also varies from area to area with each lead company. I have agent friends in other states that swear by certain lead companies which I think terrible. I suggested one I really had good luck with and one of them hates it.

What is more important with a lead company is their customer service and return policy. All companies generate "junk leads" from time to time, some more than others, but if they do not have a problem crediting bad leads then it is no skin off the agents chin.

Hi Toppick, I have visited your site and really liked it. However, just wondering whether it a new form of plug to promote business of some of the online lead agencies with whom you might have a tie-up.

I agree with beaten that the company feedback varies from client to client. Hence, we may not all agree about a single company. However, I'd say that it still a good move from your side. It would help the agents to get an overview about the company before accepting their services.

What is your commission percentage for click throughs/purchases from your website? I've seen this same affiliate structure more than once before. Considering this is your first post, I'd say it should be taken down as SPAM.

The main objective of these lead companies is now to optimize under the current market conditions. It has truly become tough to generate good quality leads even for your long term clients. They are now resorting to some kinda mixed-leads databases.

A "lead" is nothing more than a name and a phone number.

Agents who "buy" leads "think" in their brain it's "Okay" to call the suspect. It's NOT cold calling (ONLY IN YOUR BRAIN) because "you bought" a name and a phone number and then you cold call someone you don't know.

Buying leads is a form of mental illness and a huge waste of money.

BEFORE the hate mail starts....don't get me wrong....we've all tried various methods of easy sales generation only to be disappointed time and time again vs. the FREE time tested technique of:

Hi, this is Gary, will you buy from me?
How about 10 am o'clock on Tuesday?

It's simple, but not easy.

Gary, that's a brilliant post. I might have said the same thing more toned down, but you are absolutely right.

You can have a positive ROI from buying leads. A lot of agents do. But, you are giving away money that you could have kept from cold calling a good database. I can close contacts that way even better, since I'm usually the only agent calling them.

The only situation where I would recommend leads as a first choice is if you sell a product that it is difficult to ascertain who might need to purchase it. That certainly DOES NOT describe insurance.

Instead of spending hours cold calling, have you ever tried Voice Broadcasting?

You can call 50-1,000 numbers at a time until someone is interested and they press "1" and are transferred directly to you.

We have agents that are doing very well targeting Small Businesses with 0-6 employees for Life & Health Insurance.

Give me a call if you have any questions

No.

But when the day comes when target marketing, existing clients and referrals doesn't work... I'll check it out.

Just EXACTLY how much does this cost?
