In August of 2007, I was injured a bank from a faulty door. When I opened their door to go in, the door swung open really fast and I stopped it from hitting my daughter. I was wearing sandals and the bottom corner of the door went into my toe and pushed the bone into the cartilage. I have had problems with it since and my foot doctor told me I have permanent damage and will always have troubles with it. The banks insurance company paid my doctor bills, but can I sue them for pain and suffering? I can't even go for long walks. It's hard to work when I'm standing cuz of the pain

Can I sue a city for liability or the insurance company. A police office was found guilty in a federal court for excessive force. He is an employee of the City and Police Department. How can I get compensated for damages. The court award me 200 dollars for compensation. I have back pain, neck pain and other illness due to the police brutality :? :?

What did the insurance company do to you? You can sue the police officer and the city. But before you sue the city, you have to make a timely claim for your damages. Normally, that claim must be filed within six months of the injury. My guess is that if you are asking about it now,it's too late to sue anyone. You need to talk to an attorney, not an insurance agent.

File a complaint with your states Dept of Ins. Should wrap this matter up in 2-3 weeks.

Yes, you can sue the bank, their insurance company, the individual who opened the door, etc. The real question, of course, is the fault with you or the bank and will any potential payout outweigh the cost of litigation. I suggest you speak to an attorney first to determine your options. Typically you can find a local injury attorney on TV or you can find one online at Elance or Avvo. The consultation is typically free so don't let cost hold you back.

Please don't give out bad advice such as this!
First, the OP didn't even state a cause of action that would give anyone a reason to sue.
Second, you generally do not sue a person's insurance company unless it is the actual tortfeasor.
Third, using an attorney that advertises on TV is probably the worst advice a person can receive. Those attorneys rarely have actual courtroom experience. They write letters and usually accept the first settlement offer that comes along, fulfilling the poor agreement the injured person has signed.
