390 lb but no health issues

I am 390 pounds, 42 years of age with a little bit of low pressure. I’m looking to purchase a whole life policy and I am told that I’ll have trouble finding an insurance company that will cover me. I don’t smoke, drink rarely and I’m otherwise healthy. I have no history of diabetes or heart issues in the family. Will I be charged an exorbitant premium rate or is there a chance that my application will be rejected?

Insurance companies do put a lot of stress on obesity as it is a relative and direct cause of a lot of health issues, starting from diabetes to embolism and other vascular diseases. Even if you don't have a family history of any such ailments, insurers would charge you a higher premium rate. Since you mention that you don't smoke and you are otherwise healthy, you might be eligible for a standard rate.

Yes, if his height is about 8' 4", he might get a standard rate. Short of that, a table rating is more likely.

Generally all insurance company prefer healthy persons and financial stability person, to take insurance. They give little bit compensation if your are smoker or drunker, because their risk of death is little bit more when compared to others, so they are charging more premium, your case seems to be very clear, that your are fat, drunker. You may be charged little bit higher when compared to others.

Isn't this a little too judgmental and partly assumptive? Moderators?

Yes, I would agree that the "assessment" is overly critical, and probably unwarranted. But I'll let it stand as an example of missionary's intolerance, and give them an opportunity to apologize.

I don't know what a "drunker" is. However, it is obvious that an insurance company will consider him fat.

Take a look at your keyboard. A "drunker" is right next to "drinker".
