As far as life insurance is concerned, you can definitely buy a policy for yourself. However, I am presuming that you're around 40 yrs of age or more. Your premium rates will supposedly be higher.

Well, stacy has not shed any light on your question. The answer she should have given you is this:

Meet with a local life insurance agent to discuss your situation and objectives. That agent should conduct a "needs analysis" to identify the best solution for your situation today and with an eye to the future.

It could be that a term life policy will meet your immediate and short range objectives, and some form of cash value life insurance for the long term, if necessary,

Be wary of the agent who simply asks you, "How much life insurance do you want?" or "How much were you thinking of spending?" because he/she has an answer to each of those questions, and their answers might not be in your best interest.

Term life insurance can be a life saver for you if you're looking for an affordable life insurance option, especially if you're still supporting both your children. Financial advisers recommend buying term and investing the difference, so make sure to have some sort of retirement plan in place. You'll find free term life insurance quotes online on [link deleted per TOU]. Use the life needs calculator on there, or ask an agent [link deleted per TOU] to help you chalk out what face value you should purchase based on your situation. Good luck!
