Whole life insurance policies are costlier than term life insurance policies. Moreover, premium of a term life insurance policy may change in every 5 years or remain constant until the policyholder attains the age of 65 years. On the other hand, whole life insurance policies have fixed premium throughout the term of the policy.

Term life insurance policy provides insurance protection for a definite period of time, for example, 10, 15, 20 or 30 years.

Don't confuse the period of time that the premium stays level with the period of time for which a person has insurance coverage.
Cash value and no cash value.
Generally true except for the fact that term insurance can have a cash surrender value (but usually doesn't) and a policy can have a cash value and be neither type of coverage.

If there are no loans, the beneficiary will receive that amount or more. It depends whether the policy pays dividends and what happens with those dividends.
